Chief Executive Officer - MemorialCare Saddleback & Orange Coast Medical Centers

Marcia Manker is among the four most senior executives leading MemorialCare, a rapidly expanding southern California non-profit integrated health system with more than 220 sites of care. Serving as the Chief Executive Officer of MemorialCare’s two premier
hospitals in Orange County, Orange Coast and Saddleback Medical Centers, Manker oversees all operations, strategic planning, growth initiatives, and philanthropic partnerships.

Under her leadership spanning 25 years, MemorialCare Orange Coast Medical Center was transformed from a single-payor hospital to one with comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services offered to the entire community. Orange Coast has experienced continued patient growth since its transformation, resulting in two major campus expansion initiatives.

Manker assumed the leadership of MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center in 2016, and since then has led the integration of the two Orange County hospital governance boards, and has achieved significant advancement in clinical integration focused on Centers of Excellence that include MemorialCare Heart & Vascular Institute, MemorialCare Cancer Institute and the region’s largest network of ambulatory breast care facilities, MemorialCare Breast Centers.

Under Manker’s leadership, Saddleback Medical Center will advance its rich history of offering exceptional women’s services with the opening of a new Women’s Health Pavilion in 2023.

Known for her ability to establish long-term partnerships with physicians and clinical teams, Manker has helped distinguish both Orange Coast and Saddleback Medical Centers as two of the top hospitals in Orange County recognized with Magnet designation, the highest honor given for nursing excellence and superiority in patient care. The hospitals have also been recognized by the readers of the Orange County Register as the county’s top two hospitals many years in a row.

Manker is a passionate advocate for advancing behavioral health services in her role as a member of the board for Mind-OC, a nonprofit organization in support of the Be Well Orange County coalition, that is expanding mental health facilities and services throughout Orange County.She also serves on the University of California, Irvine Executive Leadership Council, the Paul Merage School of Business Advisory Board, the University of Southern California Sol Price School of Public Policy Advisory Board, and the Hospital Association of Southern California Regional Board.Manker has been honored as Woman-of-the-Year by the California State Assembly and Soroptimist International, and as the Orange County Vietnamese American Lions Club Business Leader of the Year.

Manker received a Bachelor of Science degree in biological sciences from University of California, Davis and a Master of Business Administration degree from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
